About this blog

Whether you live in Singapore, plan to travel there or have already been there for a while, this blog is for you to discover that there is a lot more to know about the island than you may think!

I have often heard people say that Singapore is an overcrowded city where the heat is unbearable, where everything is forbidden and where there is nothing to see except for skyscrapers… Let alone remarks on Singapore being extremely expensive, and there being nothing to do there… Well my friends, there is a lot you do not know about the place!

More than just shopping malls and artificial-looking places, Singapore has also kept her original places where people enjoy good food and share simple moments in quaint settings for a few dollars or less… and if you bother to take the time and find yourself lost in town you may find more gems worth discovering… but more on that later :)

I hope you will enjoy reading my articles on Singapore, as well as insights and thoughts on the city’s history and situation today. And please share your comments, I can’t wait to discuss with you!

Who am I?

A franco-singaporean girl who likes to share tips with the world! I’ve always lived in Paris but spend a few months every year in Singapore and had the opportunity to work there to. Hence the articles on hidden places :)

Special thanks

Although this might sound cheesy, I think it’s important to thank the people who have supported me in this blog adventure. Many thanks to my family and friends, especially those who have inspired me to write, who have challenged my ideas, who have given me ideas of content and encouraged me to keep on writing. There are too many names to be written down :) And a special thanks to friends who have gracefully lent me their (beautiful) pictures of Singapore : Kevin, JC, Fred, Oriane, Tarik and Jeanne.

Please note that even though the content is all mine, I sometimes had to resort to images from the web for lack of a better option. There is absolutely no copyright infringement intended in this blog, so please let me know if one of the pictures is yours and you would like me to it take down. I will do so immediately.

    • Hi dwn!
It really depends what you’re looking for… you can try shops in Chinatown, they really have good bargains! Or else you can find recycled designer clothes on Haji Lane too. Hope you find what you’re looking for!
